What is aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a fast gaining alternative medication in which essential oils and aromatic compounds from plants are extracted. In this mode of treatment the mind and body is relaxed and makes you feel comfortable. These oils are used to inhale in the form of vapor as these oils are volatile and mix well in warm water and can be applied to the body as a massage. These aromatic oils have a strong aroma and are used to treat various ailments. The oil is poured in hot water bath and the smell of it makes the mind relax and provides the much needed comfort to the tired and tensed body.
