Aromatherapy and your skin - Beauty products containing natural ingredients procured from nature are the best to use. The number of other beauty aid products that are easily available in the market use plenty of strong chemicals which can affect your skin sooner or later leaving it look dark, dull and worn out. Certain anti-wrinkle creams may give instant effect but then these do give you long term side effects and are not actually good for the skin while aromatherapy can be used for a long period of time with no side effects.

Skin care and effects of aromatherapy - Natural essential oils are used as body massage; it is also used to spray on the skin and can also be used in your daily baths. There are a number of such natural essential oils to choose from like sandalwood oil, clary sage, eucalyptus, rosewood, spearmint, chamomile, ylang ylang, bergamot, lavender, patchouli, peppermint etc. All these oils are extracted using natural herbs, flowers or plants, though their method of extraction varies for each. These essential natural oils have no side effects and there are different oils to suit each skin type.

Oils for various skin types - Oily skin - Oily skinned people often complain about open pores due to the over secretion of the Sebastian glands leading to very oily skin. Lavender oil in combination with bergamot oil and clary sage added to rose water helps close these open pores making your skin glow and look healthy.

Dry skin - Dry skin leaves your face and skin dull and worn out as there is no glow. A combination of rose oil with lavender and sandalwood with rose water makes your otherwise dull and dry skin glow.

Normal skin - though there is no problem as such with your skin the need to balance and nourish it is important. Massaging your face in circular motions with a combination of lavender, lemon, chamomile oil and clary sage not only helps balance but also tones up your skin.

Whatever the skin type and whichever essential oil you use, you need to use these oils wisely as these are highly volatile and concentrated. Massage should always be done in straight and circular motion with gentle pats all over the skin. These oils may also be used for inhalation purpose and used in warm water baths for the purpose of refreshing you and rejuvenating your mind, body and soul.
