Chelation Therapy

Chelation is a non-surgical and completely safe mode of treatment which helps the body to get rid of all the toxic wastes particularly metals. In this mode of treatment chelating agents are used and these are easily available in the market as over the counter drugs. Chelation drugs come in two forms oral as well as intravenous solutions. In case of intravenous use it needs to be done under the guidance of a physician.

Chelators are known to expel the toxic metals and toxic wastes that are known to impair the proper functioning of the body organs. These agents eliminate the toxins through the kidney. Oral chelating agents are known to prevent further problems as well as help restore circulation to the various body tissues. Intravenous therapy is recommended for those suffering from serious health ailments.

Chelation therapy can be used for treating various health related ailments. The chelating agents are known to bind with the heavy toxic metals found in the body like cadmium, mercury, lead etc. which are known to enter your body through various means like food, water etc., these metals are then excreted from your body, but there are certain vitamins and minerals that get accumulated in the body over the period of time which promote the action of other substances like lead inhibits actions of iron, potassium, calcium and such other essential nutrients. The work of these chelating agents helps eliminate toxic metals from the body. This mode of treatment is best suitable for those suffering from atherosclerosis, circulatory related disorders and gangrene. In atherosclerosis fats and cholesterol get deposited on the arteries forming a hard plaque. Chelating agents break these deposits by unclogging these arteries and allowing the free flow of blood.

Oral Chelation Therapy: is a safe and alternative mode of treatment if you are at a risk of circulatory related ailments which are caused by the accumulation of these toxic metals. Also benefits multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, Parkinson’s disease. In this mode of treatment there is a marked improvement of the circulation of blood in the arteries.

Chelating agents can be used in the following combination:

1. Alfalfa, selenium, fiber and rutin.
2. Coenzyme A
3. Magnesium and calcium chelate with potassium.
4. Potassium, garlic, pectin and chromium.
5. Coenzyme Q10
6. Zinc chelate, copper chelate, sea kelp and iron.

Avoid dairy products, fried foods, red meat, processed foods, gravies, salt etc. Eat foods that are rich in fiber like oats, wheat bran, brown rice etc. Take amino acid supplements, zinc supplements, sulfur rich foods like garlic, legumes, onions etc. Use of supplements like zinc, kelp, alfalfa and iron are recommended.

Intravenous chelation therapy is useful in removing calcified plaque which has hardened on the arterial walls thus improving the blood circulation. It helps remove heavy metals like lead from the body. Ethylene-di-amine-tetra acetic acid is used as a chelating agent. A number of clinical tests need to be done to evaluate cholesterol, kidney function, blood, glucose, liver function, electrolytes, ECG, chest x-rays should also be performed. The need to administer vitamin-c supplements and magnesium supplements is important as per your illness and tests reports.
